DAY 1: FLY TO JIMMA, TRAVEL TO BONGA,

This morning, our journey begins with a short domestic flight to Jimma, followed by a scenic two-hour drive to Bonga, nestled within the captivating Kafa Biosphere Reserve. En route, immerse in the mesmerizing vistas that unfold, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. Our guesthouses, tucked away amidst beautifully manicured gardens and surrounded by lush jungle, provide the perfect base for exploration. After settling in, we'll visit the renowned Tatmara coffee plantation, where a warm welcome awaits from the local team. Immerse yourself in the cherished Ethiopian coffee ceremony, followed by a delightful lunch of homemade Ethiopian pizza amidst the picturesque plantation grounds. A guided walking tour offers insight into the fascinating coffee production processes before we retire to our guesthouse in Bonga, filled with the day's enriching experiences and eager anticipation for the adventures ahead. DAY 2: VISIT LEMKAFFA COFFEE PLANTATION

Continuing our expedition, we set our sights on another captivating coffee plantation,. Starting the day bright and early, we go on board on an exhilarating 2-3 hour journey in robust 4x4 vehicles, navigating rugged terrain. With opportunities to spot Colobus Monkeys and a variety of tropical birds and wildlife, this adventure ensures unforgettable wildlife encounters. After a thorough tour of the plantation and a delicious lunch, we retreat to our guesthouse for another peaceful night's rest. Overnight: guesthouse

DAY 3: MANKIRA WILD COFFEE FOREST & SPICE FARM- DRIVE TO MIZZAN

Our day kicks off with a scenic 40-minute drive to the starting point of a captivating 3-hour walk (round trip) through lush, untamed forests, leading us to the esteemed 'Mother Tree' in Mankira Wild Coffee Forest—the region's oldest wild coffee tree. After this enriching hike, we return to Bonga for a satisfying lunch before continuing 2hrs our journey to Mizan. Enroute to mizan , we take part in a brief hike amidst Bonga's stunning landscapes and pay a visit to the esteemed Wushwush tea plantation. Our adventure then takes us to the prestigious Bebeka coffee plantation, Ethiopia's largest and oldest plantation, where a guided tour offers insights into the coffee cultivation process. DAY4: MIZAN –WACHAMAJI-TUMI ( 175KM GRAVELLED 3HRS)

After a refreshing breakfast, we'll set out on an fascinating three-hour drive through the scenic landscapes of Wacha Maji. As we negotiate this lush countryside, we'll be treated to breathtaking views and the serene beauty of rural life. Our route winds through quaint villages, offering glimpses into local traditions and customs. Finally, we'll arrive at the charming administrative village of Tum, where we'll spend the night. This afternoon , Prepare for an immersive cultural odyssey at one of the Omo Region's most lively weekly markets, bustling with activity every Saturday and Tuesday. As you wander through this vibrant marketplace, you'll witness the Suri, Dizi, and Meinet tribes come together to share their age-old traditions and craftsmanship. Amidst the colorful chaos, take advantage of prime opportunities for street photography and people-watching, capturing the essence of these distinct cultures against the dynamic backdrop of the market scene. DAY 5: TUM- OMO NATIONAL PARK- KARA

an early morning adventure as we journey towards Kara via the scenic route through Omo National Park, offering glimpses of lush countryside and the majestic Omo River along the way. Keep your cameras ready for wildlife sightings, including zebras and a variety of antelope species, as we drive through the park. Upon arrival at Korcho village, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Kara tribe, renowned for their intricate facial and body painting traditions. With only approximately 3,000 members remaining, this intimate encounter provides a rare opportunity to witness their unique way of life. DAY 6&7 TURMI

Based in Turmi for the next two days, our journey is marked by profound interactions with the Hamar and Arbore tribes, providing a deep insight into their unique cultures. Experience their age-old traditions, observe their daily rituals, and gain insight into their cultural practices firsthand. DAY 8 TURMI - OMORATE – JINKA (ALL PAVED, GRAVEL, 1:30HRS ONE WAY)

An early morning drive from Turmi to Omorate, home of the Dassanach tribe, known for their Bantu heritage. Experience the cultural richness of the Dimi ceremony, a significant event marking a man's transition to elderhood, amidst vibrant festivities and traditional attire. After capturing the essence of the ceremony, explore Dassanach village, photographing scenes of daily life such as cooking over open fires and tending to flocks. Return to Buska Lodge for lunch before continuing the scenic drive to Jinka, where you'll stay OVERNIGHT AT JINKA RESORT.

DAY 9: JINKA-MURSI-JINKA- ADDIS

Another early morning adventure begins at 6:30 AM with a fascinating visit to a Mursi village. Witness their distinctive body ornamentation, including lip plates, piercings, and facial painting. The Mursi women, in particular, are known for inserting discs into their lower lips, enhancing their unique appearance. Their style of dress is equally remarkable, featuring elaborate headdresses, scant beaded leather clothes, and vibrant beadwork.
