The Lower Omo Valley was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980 due to its unique cultural and physical value to the world at large. In this valley, unlike everywhere else on the planet, there are so many different tribes and cultures. The terrain was characterized as a "Museum of People" by Carlo Conti Rossini, the first foreigner to explore the area.Over millennia, it has served as a crossroads for humanity travelling in many directions.

Drive to Abyata , Shala and Langano lakes, overnight hotel Awassa

Drive to Wolaita, Chanacha (Dorze people). Overnight hotel in Arbaminch.

Nechisar National Park and Chamo Lake excursion. Overnight Arbaminch.

Drive to Turmi via Konso visiting Konso people. Drive to Woito to visit the Tsemay people and Erbore people and villages. Overnight stay in Turmi.

Visit the Hammer tribe possibly enjoying bull jumping ceremony.

Drive to Omorate on the banks of the Omo River to visit the Dassanech tribe. Overnight stay in Turmi.

Drive to Korcho to visit the Karo tribe. Overnight Murulle.

Omorate for Dassanech people and villages. Backto Turmi forOvernight.

Visit the Mursi tribe famous for their women's clay lip plates. Overnight in Jinka. Day 11: Visit Konso village and overnight Arbaminch Hotel.

Drive to Borena tribe visiting El Sod crater from where Borena men extract salt . Overnight in Yabello.

Drive to the rift valley lake of Awasa. Overnight stay in Awassa.
